Close to historic sites, the waterfront and lovely nature preserves, StoneRidge is a uniquely private place. Even though we're only minutes from a myriad of local attractions in Mystic and Stonington, when you make that slight right onto Jerry Browne Road, you'll feel like you've entered a country retreat.

Stonington dates back to 1649 and offers visitors a rich display of "living history" of coastal life in the 19th century. The town is located on Stonington Harbor, which flows into Long Island Sound, providing access to the sea. Locals often call Stonington "The Borough," an area occupying a point of land projecting into Long Island Sound.

The Stonington Harbor Light, a low stone building, was the first lighthouse established by the U.S. Federal Government, in 1823. In the 19th century, Stonington supported a small fishing, whaling and sealing fleet.

The Museum of America and the Sea teaches about the shipbuilding industry that engendered the Mystic Seaport. Small, inviting shops; exceptional eateries; and the Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration, which covers a colossal 17 acres, make Mystic and Stonington an absorbing destination for all ages.
